Spring Break, Final Weekend

We got home from Houston Thursday, and I was up most of the night in pain. Went to the doctor Friday, and found out I had a bladder infection (which I already pretty much figured out). Got meds for that, and she told me to keep the ankle elevated after examining that, too. There go Spring Cleaning plans. Tommy and the boys came that night with plans to check out a house in Hallsville the next day. After beautiful weather last week, another front blew through yesterday, and we woke up today to another snow covered morning. Enough already! It's now after 3 p.m. and it still hasn't let up. The azaleas are white on the first weekend of the Azalea Trails here in Tyler, but it's sure not with blossoms! Thank you, Al Gore! If it weren't for Global Warming, there's no telling how cold it would be now!

Spring Break, Part 2

What a week this has been! After a fun weekend and one day to rest and do laundry, PaPa and I headed to Houston on Tuesday. We met Tommy and Allison and ate Mexican food. The group split up, with Allison and me going to pick up tickets for the big day tomorrow at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the boys headed off to play at Gander Mountain for a few minutes. We arranged to be at home prior to out highly anticipated night of watching Lost. What was not anticipated was me stepping sideways off the concrete drive and coming down heavily on the side of my ankle. We followed protocol--elevated it, put an ice bag on it, and wrapped it in an ace bandage. Still swelled and hurt like the dickens. The next morning, I was determined not to disappoint the cowboys, so I took some potent pain medication and stopped for an ankle splint at Walgreen's. I wasn't going to let a little thing like that spoil our great day at the Livestock Show and Rodeo!

Spring Break, Part 1

Sunday evening, and this old house is quiet and still a little mussed. 24 hours ago, it was quite a different story! We had a house full of rowdy little boys and one sweet little girl, crumbs and toys everywhere, PaPa enjoying a red laser light a little too much (much to the delight of the boys and girl), and lots of laughter. Glorious weather outside, with trees budding and blooming and flowers everywhere! What a great way to kick off Spring Break!

Canton Car Show Saturday

The weather was absolutely incredible today! We went to the car show in Canton, and PaPa had a great time looking at all the cars, and I had as much fun people watching! I have never seen such a crowd at the Canton car show! Cars, car parts, and everything associated with cars! Are there any little boys out there who might like to spend lots of time doing lots of walking and looking at lots of cars? (One applicant at a time, please!)

The best part of the trip!!

This one's about three years older than the red GTO PaPa had when I met him!

PaPa's next ride! (An H2)
