Mamaw and Papaw Update

I went and picked up Steve for his follow-up visit Tuesday. He's about well--his skin looking normal, hair grown back, and smelling much better (and so is the apartment). The vet said since it was an allergy, it will probably come back, but we can take him back before it gets so bad. The next thing to take care of is his stinky breath--caused by very dirty teeth. I'll take him for that after I get out for the summer. Meanwhile, Mamaw is still happy. She was out in the lobby listening to violin music when I came back. Marilyn, the nurse, said she's noticed a real change in Mamaw. The only change is that she's back to herself--and that's a wonderful thing. Cindy went today and took Mamaw out for lunch (she'd been craving a Taco Bell taco salad) and to WalMart. Steve needed more food, of course. Papaw didn't go, but he doesn't act like he wants to. Another change I noticed is that the apartment is neater. I think Mamaw has a little more energy and is doing a little piddling around in there. It's such a relief that they are content.
